Start Outsourcing Your Cleaning this Winter and Don’t Look Back

Time is one of the most precious commodities and being able to manage your time effectively is a great skill to have. Outsourcing your cleaning this winter is great to free up some time so you can spend it doing the things you love. After a long day at work, the last thing you want to do is come home and do household chores. That’s where outsourcing come in. Hire cleaners to clean your home while you are at work and relieve the burden from yourself.

There was a time in my life where I was too stubborn to admit that I couldn’t do everything myself. I would work for nine hours at the office and then come home and work another two hours doing chores. Eventually, it began to take a toll on my body and on my sanity for that matter.  I was cranky all the time and didn’t feel appreciated for all the hard work and effort I was putting in. I would snap at my husband and children over the little things and looking back at it now I was a totally different person. Some of my close friends would offer to help but I never accepted it because I thought of it as a sign of defeat and I also didn’t want to be a burden.

Then one day my husband surprised me. It was a Saturday and I was all geared up for a day of spring cleaning the house. He had other plans. He said we were going out to breakfast but didn’t say much more that. We started driving and as we started to get further out of the city I became suspicious and kept asking him where he was taking us. Whenever I asked I would hear the laughter of the children in the back seat and he would always respond “You’ll see when we get there”.

It was started to infuriate me. My mind was racing with all the things I needed to get at the house. I had so much cleaning to get through and so little time. As the buildings turned into the countryside, we pulled into a carpark just outside the national park. We all jumped out. My husband got a picnic basket from the back of the car and we started hiking into the forest. Anyway, half an hour later we came across the most majestic waterfall and picnic area. My husband started setting up for a picnic and the kids joined in and helped. As we sat there beside the waterfall, the soothing tones in the background and the kid’s laughter sent a warm feeling of togetherness and satisfaction through my body.

Suddenly I wasn’t thinking about my household chores anymore. All the important things in my life were right in front of me. My husband, my kids and the beauty of nature. We picnicked and relaxed for four hours before loading up the car and heading home.

The closer we got to the city, the more my mind started thinking about work and my list of chores to do. As we pulled up in the driveway I was kind of dreading the fact that I had to go into the messy house and I wouldn’t be able to relax until all of it was done. My husband had a weird smirk on his face the whole way home and every time I mentioned the cleaning him and the children would just laugh.

I knew something was going on, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. To my surprise, as we opened the door there were no toys on the floor. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the house had been cleaned top to bottom. It was absolutely spotless.

I was speechless. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. After the initial shock resided, I was jumping for joy. My husband spilled the beans and told me that he had hired a cleaner for regular cleans to make my life a bit easier. I told him to cancel them immediately, because I felt like a failure, but deep down I knew it was for the best. For me and for my family.

I have now accepted the fact that I need a little help from time to time and the cleaner comes twice a week. I’m not as cranky anymore and I have a better relationship with my family. I have more free time to spend quality time with them. Now that we have the time, we go on little family adventures whenever we get the chance. It usually involves getting out of the city and into nature which has really enriched the quality our lives. So do yourself a favour and let somebody give you a helping hand, so you can free up some valuable time to spend with your loved o
